Forest Town Nature Conservation Group receive start-up grant.

Forest Town Nature Conservation Group

Forest Town Nature Conservation Group in Nottinghamshire are the latest and one of the last groups to receive the start-up grant from the Community Woodland Project. The group plan to restore wetland habitat in their woodland, along with additional woodland work and tree planting to increase biodiversity and also community involvement.

‘We are thrilled to receive this grant, which will enable the Forest Town Nature Conservation Group to transform an area of poor ecological value into a stream and an area that supports wetland habitat. This will improve biodiversity and water quality, and enhance the experience for people visiting the site’.
